In my experience, I find a surprisingly large number of forklift drivers believe the model number of a forklift lift is it’s lifting capacity. This is rarely if ever the case. The only way to know a forklift’s safe limits is to read the data plate. Forklifts by design are already inherently unstable and so overloading makes for a hazardous situation.
