This is available on our website and can be used over and over. It contains 10 questions we believe every competent forklift driver should be able to answer correctly. Use this at your next tool box meeting as a quick and easy guide to establish operator knowledge for safer forklift driving.

We have developed 10 questions based on what we have observed are often not known by most licenced forklift operators.
What to Expect

Show Duty of Care
The test can be administered as many times as required so it is a good ongoing check of forklift operator skills, especially where a high staff turnover is experienced.

A more in depth test of safety knowledge and awareness. This is available on our website and can be used over and over. It contains 30 questions we believe every competent forklift operator should be able to answer correctly. Use this at your next tool box or general safety meeting as an easy guide to gauge your operators current knowledge about forklift operation.
Course Content

Once complete, the supervisor can assess the answers and determine if further training is required. Onsite Forklift Licencing offer assistance to supervisors who may not be experienced enough to determine correct answers.

How to Read and Apply Data Plates
Onsite Forklift Licencing believe that many experienced forklift drivers are unable to understand the forklift’s crucial data plate information. Understanding data plates is a fundamental requirement of being a professional and safe forklift operator. This is available on our website and can be used over and over. This tool clearly explains how a data plate is read and then gives 4 examples of comparing a data plate’s limits to a particular load. Once understood, the trainee then completes the second stage without assistance to confirm they understand this vital aspect of forklift operating.

Learning, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Test
Having a satisfactory level of these foundation skills is necessary in order to obtain a forklift licence. Onsite Forklift Licencing often experience candidates enrolling for a forklift licence course but unfortunately the candidate does not have the skills level required. This can be embarrassing and disappointing for all concerned.
Course Content
This simple test has ten questions which a person who wishes to obtain a forklift licence will be able to answer correctly (with any assistance being given. Using a calculator is OK).
What to Expect
If all answers are correct, it is most likely that person will be successful in obtaining their forklift licence. If the person is unable to correctly answer, then assistance should be considered to upskill them before proceeding further.
Show Duty of Care
Regulations require that forklift operators have a sufficient understanding of English without which, an Assessor can not issue a forklift licence.
