How often do you see this?

It’s a common mistake for Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) bottles to be stored upside down after being removed from the forklift to indicate the bottle is ’empty’. This is a dangerous practice as LPG bottles are never completely empty. Placing them upside down submerges the safety relief valve which if activated due to pressure or heat, will allow liquid to escape causing severe injury, damage or even death. The Australian Standard AS 4332-2004 The Storage and Handling of Gases in cylinders has information on the correct way to store and transport gas bottles safely.
